being body © Lena Heubusch

being body explores the nomadic sciences of the rhizomatic body through creative robotics and experimental sound.

The installation is based on a somatic method reflection that accesses the subtle poetry of the heart, bones and skin.

The artist Lena Heubusch, bangaloREsident@WalkinStudios, strives for a holistic approach to the practice of media and performance-based art dedicated to somatic and collective movement practices. She questions the importance of metals like copper in the context of technological progress, as well as its physicality and the fact that it is a finite resource.

Her work is driven by questions like:
How do we, as bodies, experience a ‘being body’ in the digital realm?
How can we use new technologies to transform ''difference'' into a tool to commoning?

On Saturday, December 3, being body will be exhibited at 1Shanthiroad Art Gallery at 7.30 p.m.
Free entry.
All are welcome!
