Date: 25 September 2023 Time: 5:00 PM Venue: Goethe-Institut Kolkata and Alliance Francaise du Bengale Kolkata
The Long Night of LiteratureS is presented for the first time in Kolkata with renowned authors from eleven European countries presenting their works. At this evening-long event at the Goethe-Institut Kolkata and Alliance Francaise du Bengale Kolkata, writers from across Europe will be performing and interacting with the audience. The format encourages audiences to listen to several authors throughout the course of the evening.
The participating authors include Julia von Lucadou (Germany), Clarence Boulay (France), Elisa Garcia Diez (Spain), Susana Moreira Marques (Portugal), Harald Darer (Austria), Attila Bartis (Hungary), Zygmunt Miloszewski (Poland), Bikash Dihingia (United Kingdom), Hari Spanou (EU Delegation), Zanna Sloniowska (Ukraine) and Bostjan Videmsek (Slovenia).
Each author reads to an audience of about twenty people for twenty minutes. The audience then moves on to another room to listen to a different author, reading from their chosen work of literature. This concept allows the audience a very intimate space to have personal interactions with authors from all eleven European countries.
The Long Night of LiteratureS is presented jointly by EUNIC Cluster New Delhi and Kolkata
Book stall with some translated works will be made available for purchase at the venue by Oxford Bookstore.
