- Teil der Reihe: (re)OPEN MINDS 2026: Adapting to the Future
Presented by the Goethe-Institut Toronto
Frankfurt photographer Lilly Lulay facilitates a hands-on collage workshop creating hyper-real photo-based visual worlds, drawing from the collaborative Cadavre Exquis drawings of the Surrealists, artists like Hannah Höch or John Stezaker as well as her own practice. When these artists created collages around 1900, cutting and recomposing images in often absurd ways, the effect was provocative; today AI is doing something similar but smoother with thousands of image fragments.
Contextualising program:
Soft Errors, Hard Truths
Opening Reception with artist Lilly Lulay
Call & Response: Wilding AI (Beth Coleman & Debashis Sinha)
Call & Response: Vedran Dzebic on Design, Creativity & Empathic AI
Call & Response <> Mark Campbell
