Organised in close collaboration with the Goethe-Institut London, Collecting Europe will turn the clock forward to the 41st century.

The first exhibition and festival enjoyed great success at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum in February 2017 and featured 12 new contemporary art commissions, imagining what Europe might look like 2,000 years from now. The continuation of Collecting Europe will display four existing works from the first exhibition by Onkar Kular and Common Initiative (Sweden/ UK), Jasleen Kaur, (UK), Remco Torenbosch (NL ) and Thibaut de Ruyter (FR/DE). In addition two new works by Nina Støttrup Larsen (DK) and the artistic duo Sylvia Winkler & Stephan Kögler (DE) have been specifically commissioned by Schauspiel Stuttgart and Goethe-Institut London for the festival to continue the spirit of Collecting Europe.
