A special workshop for ENBYouthCo
English National Ballet’s youth dance company,
ENBYouthCo will participate in a workshop led by guest dance artists from Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch.
Kenji Takagi and
Josephine Ann Endicott will lead an inspiring choreographic dance workshop for these talented young dancers, introducing them to the world of legendary choreographer Pina Bausch.
The workshop will focus on dynamics and spontaneity in movement with a warm-up, guided improvisation and choreographic tasks. Following this, the young dancers will have the opportunity to speak to the artists in a Q&A discussion.
This workshop has been programmed with support from Goethe-Institut London as part of English National Ballet’s Triple Bill programme that features Pina Bausch’s
Le Sacre du Printemps (The Rite of Spring), not performed in the UK since before the choreographer’s death in 2009. This is the first time a British company will perform this iconic work.
