The first part of the workshop will cover the topic German films in the classroom and will give suggestions on how to deal with them with regards to content and methodology in accordance with the new A-level syllabus.

The second part of the workshop will deal with the  international CPD programme DLL (Deutsch Lehren Lernen) that incorporates the principle of professional development through collaborative action research.

Workshop participants will explore:
  • the programme covered in module DLL 5
  • how teacher- led investigative models support CPD
  • how this classroom based research can be facilitated
Participants can also learn how learning by experiencing, and observing with professional support and interaction, enhances:
  • training of strategies for independent, professional self-development
  • the exchange of best practice examples, ideas and insights
  • competencies
  • the development of more task-based and interactive teaching
During the workshop, Sabine Junker and Liz Black, the course leaders will explain how future participants in the module  DLL 5 will be supported by experienced trainers exploiting the potential of blended learning with face-to face and online support.
