Developing Spontaneous Speaking Skills
The Prince's Teaching Institute offers a workshop day for teachers on the topic of developing spontaneous speaking skills. It is taking place on Friday 25 November 2016 in central London.
Promote independent and spontaneous German speaking through the use of images and film:
- Discover techniques that will support students from years 7-13 to increase their fluency
- Gain confidence in guiding pupils to improve their spoken and written responses to images and film for the new GCSE and A Level specifications
- Expand use of the target language to above 80% in lessons to empower students to master speaking about more complex concepts and authentic material
- Update your schemes of work to ensure that speaking is at the heart of lesson planning
This day is for German teachers at KS3, 4 or 5 or for somebody you want to meet the challenges of the new speaking specifications or increase the students’ spontaneity and independence in speaking German. The day feature subject experts, and are led by practising teachers.
