Torsten Schulz was born in Berlin (East), he is the author of award-winning feature films, director of documentaries, and professor of dramaturgy at Babelsberg Film University. His debut novel
Boxhagener Platz (
A Square in East Berlin) was made into a film. His new novel
Oil and Bees will be published in March 2022.

John Banville was born in Wexford in 1945. He was Literary Editor at The Irish Times from 1988 to 1999.
Among the awards he has received are the Man Booker Prize, the Franz Kafka Prize, the Irish Pen Award for Outstanding Achievement in Irish Literature, the Guardian Fiction Prize, and the Prince of Asturias Award.
