For Children and on Children!

A dedicated literature festival for children is what Chennai didn't have all these years in a grand scale despite its vibrant reading community and popular publishing houses.

Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Chennai bridged the gap last year by bringing in the first of its kind Children's Literature festival in Chennai. 

Objective of the Fest:
  • To promote reading and listening among children
  • To create an awareness among parents as to what is available in the market for their kids to read
  • To invoke a community feeling, celebrating books and its creators
  • To instill lifelong learning passion
  • To enhance creativity and life skills
  • To encourage empathy, diversity and inclusion
  • To create a platform to bring together publishers, authors, illustrators and readers
Lit Events:
Musical Storytelling, Film screening, panel discussion, theatre show, workshops, engaging play area, fun filled activities, books for all exhibition, book sales and more crunchies muchies.

5.00 - 5.30PM | Inaugural of TLLF 2025 | Lighting the lamp of friendship
5.30 - 6.00PM | Encounters - A Dance and storytelling journey of friendship | An imaginative performance through movement, rhythm and tales by Bhagya Vivekanandan and Sarveshan. 
6.00 - 6.15PM | High Tea
6.15 - 7.30PM | GGBB Movie Screening
Hindi with English Subtitles
Goopi Gawaiyaa Bagha Bajaiyaa - Animated musical movie produced by Karadi Tales and the Children's Film Society, India. GGBB has won the AASIFA Award for best animated feature film, Jury Award for best Art Work at ICFF, Hyderabad, nominated for best film APSA Brisbane, Orbit Live Industry award for best animated feature, and the WIFTS award, Los Angeles.
