Baki Kotha

Baki Kotha is a twenty-minute Bengali production devised and performed by young female theatre practitioners. Exploring womanhood through individual perspectives, the play seeks to continue conversations often silenced by social norms.

Blending storytelling with postdramatic elements, it brings forth the words women are conditioned not to speak — reflecting their untold struggles, desires, and vulnerabilities. Embracing the idea that “there is no feminism, but feminisms,” Baki Kotha presents diverse yet coexisting voices while challenging conventional modes of Bengali theatre-making.
