About the Project

In cities, where individuality often overshadows collectivism, the meaning of community is complex and fragmented. How do we, the inhabitants of urban landscapes, perceive and experience community? What binds us together in an environment that often feels disconnected? Taking inspiration from the Warli Tribe Flux tries to reinterpret the communal spirit of the Tarpa dance within an urban context, inviting participants to co-create and embody their own notions of community. Through integration, disintegration, and reintegration, it challenges dancers to reflect on shared identity, the rules of communal living, and the evolving meaning of togetherness today. By blending tradition and modernity, it seeks to uncover what binds us in a disconnected world.
