The poet Friederike Mayröcker and the writer and poet Ernst Jandl were a couple for several years. Following Jandl’s death in 2000, Mayröcker comes to terms with her loss by producing literary works. She responds to our speechlessness in the face of death with the power of language. In her requiem, Mayröcker looks back on the time shared with Jandl and on the work they created together.
