Programme

The programme is modular in design and follows a set learning progression. It encompasses the following language courses and modules, which prospective students complete in their home countries and are designed to give them linguistic and subject-matter-specific preparation for studying in Germany:

  1. Language courses (online)
Online language courses covering the levels of B2.1 to C1.1.
  2. Subject-specific preparation in STEM subjects (online)
Online course providing subject-specific language preparation for university studies, via the Moodle learning platform. Seven modules are available: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, and Economics.
  3. TestDaF preparatory course (online)
Familiarisation with the individual test sections (reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression, oral expression). Participants receive tutorial assistance throughout the course.
  4. TestAS format training (online)
Online course introducing the format, structure, content, and task types of the TestAS examination. The course is delivered via the Moodle learning platform and includes tutorial support.
  5. TestDaF examination
TestDaF is an internationally recognised language examination that serves as proof of German language proficiency for prospective students seeking admission to a university in Germany.
  6. TestAS examination
TestAS is a centralised, standardised aptitude test for university studies. It assesses cognitive skills that are particularly important for academic success. The TestAS consists of a core test and a subject-specific module.
  7. Intercultural training “Fit for Studying in Germany”
An online or in-person course designed to prepare participants for living and studying in Germany, with a focus on cultural awareness, intercultural competence, everyday life, and academic culture.
  8. Academic guidance counselling
Provided with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
  9. After successful completion: application to a German university
Attending preparatory STEM Academies in Germany or your home country is another (optional) part of the preparation. Please contact the Goethe-Institut in your home country for further information.

Note: Participants take theTestDaF and TestAS examinations independently after completing the programme. Examination fees are not included in the programme fee.
