Kolkata

The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata invites you to attend an engaging carnival that will bring together experts from diverse fields such as STEM, Technology, Mental Health, Sustainable Living, Dance, Art, Schools and Higher Education. This three-day event will take place from April 11th to 13th, 2023, at five different venues, beginning at the premises of the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan and then continuing at four PASCH Partner schools in Kolkata.

This event offers a unique opportunity for students to interact directly with experts in their respective fields, ask questions, and explore the many options available in their particular areas of interest. The event will have experts from Germany and India, including Gaurav Juyal, a TEDx speaker, education designer, and former host of Disney's "Art Attack”. Gaurav will be present to offer workshops on Sustainable Drape Culture and the world of animation. The Sustainable Drape Culture workshop will provide participants with insights into the art of sustainable draping, its historical significance, and eco-friendly clothing. In contrast, the animation workshop will offer insights into character design, storyboarding, and sound effects.

The EduTech/Stem Academy will conduct various workshops, including Simple Machines & Robotics Booth, 3D Designing & Printing, Electronics & IoT, DIY Stalls, Drone Area, STEM Games, VR Zone, and AI Zone. These workshops will feature live demonstrations, DIY activities, and walkthroughs that showcase interactive models related to Robotics, electronic circuits, and renewable energy models. At the DIY Stalls, students can engage in activities such as electronics with copper tapes, LEDs, and buzzers, build geometrical structures and shapes, and create 3D structures using molecular models. The Drone Area allows students to fly drones within the drone cage, while STEM Games feature tabletop Robotics challenges or remote-control mazes.

The Media Literacy Workshop will provide engaging activities using LEGO to cover critical topics such as cyberbullying and screen time. This offers a great opportunity to learn new skills, explore sustainable and eco-friendly practices, and engage with experts from a wide range of fields.

The event will also feature a multilingual concert in German, Bengali, Hindi, English, Sylithi, and Nepali. The closing ceremony on April 13th will highlight performances from artists such as The Whale in the Pond and Paloma and Adil.
