Competition on scientific topics

As part of our ongoing international project JuniorUni we are happy to invite students from classes 9-11 to a Science Slam competition. 

What is a Science Slam?

A Science Slam is a tournament for scientific/ technical topics that are presented in a fun and interactive manner within the stipulated time. Apart from the scientific content, the entertainment value and presentation´s quality remains in focus.
Very important: People are allowed to laugh; it should be fun for both the participants and the audience.

Suggested Topics: Robotics, Space travel, energy, natural sciences and sustainability…

Round 1: Contact your German Teacher to register until 17.07.2023. Tell us what your topic is and why is it relevant. Based on your answers, selected participants shall be invited to join the next round.

Round 2: The selected participants will try to impress the jury and the audience with their presentation skills within 1 minute in an online Zoom session. (Tentatively 1st week of August) Based on audience voting and jury´s decision, shortlisted candidates get the invite for the final round.

Round 3: Invited candidates present their Science Slam live at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan new Delhi on 31.08.2023 in front of the jury.

Whom: Classes 9th -11th
Participation: 1 entry per school (an individual/a group of max. 3 students)
Language: German and/or English

The decision of the jury members in all rounds shall be final and cannot be contested.
