A workshop sharing session - choreographed by Joshua Sailo with performers from India.

‘In C’ is a project initiated by Sasha Waltz and Guests (SW&G), Germany. It is a new piece of choreography by acclaimed choreographer Sasha Waltz created to the contemporary music composition by American composer Terry Riley. The project includes Sasha Waltz working together with a chosen choreographer using a video tutorial and a fourteen-day workshop conducted by her in Berlin, Germany. The training period of the chosen choreographer will be followed by him/her conducting another workshop with performers from India towards furthering the process of exchange and enabling more artists to be felicitators to extend their training among others.

Joshua Sailo from Mizoram was the chosen choreographer from India to be trained by Sasha Waltz and Guests, Germany, and his training period is now being followed by him conducting a workshop with performers from India towards furthering this process of exchange and enriching more Indian dancers.

The workshop will culminate into an exchange session open to the public.

The evening will also include selected readings from the American Center Library focusing on similar themes and ideas of InC. The readings are part of the project American A-Liverary initiated by the American Center and Vikram Iyengar.

This project is in collaboration with the Pickle Factory Dance Foundation.

The programme is open to all.
