Create and build highly individual lamps from scratch under the creative mentorship of German light artist Rainer Kehres. For this workshop, please bring everyday household items and materials. plastic gloves, zip ties, cups, straws... anything. We will then assemble them to a unique lamp. Please check that the material is slightly translucent and not heavy, not metal bows or ceramics please.
The lamps will be installed outside at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival as part of a larger light sculpture. The lamp will be fitted with a computer controlled LED light.
Suitable for: 10 + years. Also open to adults
Participants need to bring: everyday translucent objects like cloth, straws, paper cups, pencils.
