Founded by Karl Münchinger in 1945, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra has a unique tradition as cultural ambassador of Stuttgart, Baden-Wuerttemberg and Germany. It is widely regarded as one of the finest chamber orchestras, famous for its colourful and virtuoso sound. It plays around 90 concerts a year all over the world.

Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra looks back on a long India-tradition: The orchestra will be in India for the fifth time in 2019. The concert programme includes a variety of classical masterpieces: Under the direction of concertmaster Bogdan Božović the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra will play works of German composers Bach and Brahms as well as the world premiere of “Vistar”, a commissioned work of the renowned Indian composer Sandeep Bhagwati.
