POSTAL MODERNISM 2.0
takes place over a period of five months. Every month Renuka Rajiv will send a parcel to someone in Delhi and Kolkata – not necessarily the same person every month. These people, dubbed ‘Ground Actants’, take the contents of the parcel and install it here and there in the common areas of the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan’s in Kolkata and New Delhi.
Every month, the number of contents (the paper strips) in the parcel double. Renuka started with 20 in August. September’s parcel will have 40, October will have 80, November – 160 and in December there will be 320. In return, The Ground Actants who install the works, will send Renuka clues by post, which will help them look for the work as they deinstall the project mid-December.
