Kalag Ghoda Arts Festival

Ever thought of Nature as Public Art? And that we need to collectively work towards maintaining and helping it thrive?
On display is the complexity of the Flamingo’s lifecycle, the ecosystems of which they are a part, their migratory patterns and the impact of human activity on their precarious existence. The exhibition presents a unique site of gathering, exploring the social, ecological threads encountered and generated in public spaces/commons. The questions that come out are:
Who’s in my wetland?

The title of the show is inspired by the two species of flamingoes that visit Mumbai each year, and it features artists who collaborate with nature in the face of increasing urgent warnings about the consequences of climate change. They have a keen eye to care, to make art that draws viewers’ attention to elemental resources — those we and other non human species cannot live without, and that for far too long we have taken for granted - water and waterways.
Do join in the Flamboyance and visual cacophony of Rōhita at the Gallery MMB on 4th-12th Feb 2023, Kala Ghoda festival. There will be special performances on Feb 10, by Three Oscillators + VJ Decoy and on Feb 11, by Chrms + VJ Lzy Lad at 7 - 8.30pm.
