As part of the EU-funded EU4Culture II programme, the Goethe-Institut invites Ukrainian cultural and creative organisations to participate in the first phase of the call for creative platforms – Living Labs.

Selected applicants will receive up to EUR 9,500 to establish Living Labs in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions, as well as to jointly develop local roadmaps for the development of creative ecosystems. After successful completion of the first phase, the grantees will be invited to a second round of calls (funding up to EUR 60,000) to implement, evaluate and further develop the roadmap solutions.

Phase I supports the establishment of two Living Labs in:
• Ivano-Frankivsk Region (1 Living Lab)
Focus: Performing arts, music, audiovisual, design, digital/media, creative innovation.
• Lviv Region (1 Living Lab)
Focus: Performing arts, music, audiovisual, design, digital/media, creative innovation.

The selected Phase I applicants will:
• bring together relevant local actors;
• apply participatory and co-creative approaches;
• analyse local needs and opportunities;
• work together to develop a local roadmap for the development of creative ecosystems.

The selected Phase I applicants will receive:
• financial support of up to EUR 9,500;
• Mentoring and capacity development activities;
• international networking opportunities.

The proposals submitted under this call must directly contribute to strengthening the creative ecosystems in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions, focusing primarily on the performing arts, music, audiovisual, design, digital/media and creative innovation.

Applications must be submitted in English via the Goethe Application Portal by 20 July 2026, 23:59 CEST at the latest. Detailed information on the admission requirements, the application procedure and the funding conditions can be found in the application guidelines.

EU4Culture II – Sustainable Creative Ecosystems is a regional programme with a budget of EUR 10 million, fully funded by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut. As a flagship initiative under the European Commission's Culture CompassforEurope, the programme strengthens the cultural and creative sectors as drivers of economic growth, social cohesion and resilience in the Eastern Partnership.
