European Theaters
p3m5

The diversity of Europe’s culture can be seen in the variety of European theaters and organizations involved in this project. There are presently ten theaters across nine European countries, from Romania in the East to the United Kingdom in the West, from Slovenia in the South to Sweden in the North. Two plays will come from Belgium, one in French and one in Flemish, reflecting the country’s dual identities and the plurality of political cultures and languages, even among neighbors. The theaters represented include state theaters, city theaters, stages for children and youth, and a genre-defying performance group.
