In Partnership with the Henry Art Gallery
This month Goethe Pop Up Seattle is partnering with the Henry Art Gallery to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the highly influential and versatile artist Joseph Beuys (1921-1986)
, who was also one of Germany’s most controversial cultural figures of the 20th century.
Beuys believed strongly that everyone is an artist, and that art has the power to bring about social and political change. Join us as we discuss works in the Henry Art Gallery’s collection by Beuys, as well as a variety of artists who were influenced by him.
