Goethe Pop Up Seattle presents the German film selection at the 47th Seattle International Film Festival

The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) is the largest film festival in the United States, with nearly 140,000 people attending each year. Usually a 25-day event held each spring, this year’s festival will take place virtually with films available on demand through the new streaming SIFF Channel. It will showcase 90+ features and 100+ shorts from 69 countries, plus daily events, talks, Q&As, and more, as well as opportunities to gather, participate, and celebrate.

Since the 1970s, SIFF has been promoting cross-cultural exchange through cinema by bringing people together to discover extraordinary films from around the world. This year, Seattle International Film Festival kicks off for the 47th time.

Goethe Pop Up Seattle and the Consulate General of Switzerland in San Francisco are partnering with SIFF to present the festival’s official selection of German films. Watch an array of recent releases covering various genres, and experience how much German cinema has to offer. This year’s German selection includes four feature-length films as well as a short, Conversations with a Whale, which runs in the Festival’s Animation4Adults program.
