Panorama Europe 2018, the 10th edition of the essential festival of new and vital European cinema, includes fiction and documentary works that present a portrait of contemporary Europe during a period of tremendous flux. The festival, which launched in 2009 by Czech Center New York, continues to give New Yorkers an eclectic overview of the current European film scene.
In this year’s edition, guest curator
Nellie Killian highlights recent films from throughout the continent, with several of the films exploring dialogues between the historic upheavals of the 20th century and the current moment. Screenings will take place at both Museum of the Moving Image and the Bohemian National Hall.

Ziad Kalthoum’s documentary
Taste of Cement (Germany/Syria/Lebanon//United Arab Emirates/Qatar, 2017) on May 12, 2:00pm.
Panorama Europe 2018 is presented by by the New York section of European Union National Institutes for Cultural (EUNIC) and Museum of the Moving Image.
