500 years of Reformation

2017 marks the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s publication of the 95 theses against the sale of indulgences, which is regarded as the starting point of the Reformation.
In this context, the Goethe-Institut Glasgow would like to approach Martin Luther and his influence on the German language from a present-day perspective in terms of lectures and a poster exhibition.

In collaboration with the German Consulate General, the German Speaking Congregation, the Church of Scotland, the University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh, the Goethe-Institut is proud to present the poster exhibition “Here I am” and lectures by renowned Luther experts Professor Lyndal Roper and Professor Dr. Hans-Joachim Solms.
