School administrators and parents
For parents of PASCH-students, the event series "Career Paths with German" took place in April 2021. For one week, partner institutions of the Goethe-Institut - the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), ProRecognition, universities and foundations - as well as PASCH alumni provided information about studying and working in Germany in live streams on Facebook.
In May 2021, we organised a virtual educational tour for school leaders and education officers. They were able to gain further insights into the German dual education system. The programme also included a meeting with representatives of the software company SAP SE. Particularly interesting for the participants was the meeting with pupils from the vocational school ITECH Elbinsel Wilhelmsburg. They emphasised the advantages of their career choice: on the one hand, earning money already during training, and on the other hand, in some cases, receiving job offers even before completing their vocational training.
Vocational training is very important in Germany and is very well structured. The event gave me an overview of the dual training system in Germany. In our country, vocational and technical education plays a crucial role in qualifying skilled workers. Therefore, I found it interesting and useful.
