- Part of series: Five Million Incidents
In this present work, I am using dry jute sticks as an expression of the memory jute industry and the state of labour and other issues related to the decline of the legacy that was the main source of work in Bengal since the British Raj. My intention is also to highlight the material, and explore its relation to dots and lines and a path from a personal expression to global experience. The procedure of work will develop slowly as the interaction with the space increases that will occupy the the auditorium space of Goethe-Institut and expand into the external spaces to create a dialogue between the outside and the inside. The work will be a process of maintaining balance between the material, space and its diverse possibilities. I will also try to develop some conversation between the material, space and people with specific reference to jute labours & there present condition etc .
