Dastaan-e-Ling

Dastaan-e-Ling is a performance/installation by Aishwarya and Bibi.
 
It is a site specific event that’s designed for the space of Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi. Both the installation and performance explore the body as a space and a site on which gender is played out. Whereas the performance achieves this partially through a Dastangoi tradition, the installation literally transforms the space of the Institut into a bodily territory.
 
The hour long performance aims to explore the complex relationship between sex and gender through the element of time.
