Premiere of site-specific choreography by Boston Dance Theater

We do regret to inform you that due to concerns around the COVID-19 situation we are canceling this event.  We look forward to welcoming you at the Goethe-Institut Boston at a later time. Please stay healthy and safe.

Presented as part of 'Our House is Your House' Opening Weekend.

Boston Dance Theater Co-director/Choreographer Jessie Jeanne Stinnett teams up with Artistic Director of Sound Icon Ensemble Jeffrey Means for a commission initiated by Goethe-Institut Boston to create a site-specific, 45 minute dance work set to musical selections by iconic German composers.

The piece will be performed live by BDT and Sound Icon during the opening weekend of Goethe-Institut’s newly restored Back Bay building. The commission both responds to, and draws the audience’s attention to, the obvious and understated elements of the historical building’s architecture through the techniques of improvisation, Dance Theater, and contemporary choreography.
