Renowned exhibit starts its US-wide tour in New York

It has been on the road worldwide since 2016: Land of inventors - Research in Germany exhibition, designed by the Goethe-Institut, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, and the Max Planck Society. At the start of the Year of Germany in October, the Goethe-Institut New York will be its first two-week-long stop on the US-wide tour.

The exhibition focuses on German inventions from the scientific disciplines, historical discoveries as well as trendsetting innovations. It is bilingual, in German and English, and is primarily targeted at young adults (15-25 years old), but also all the young at heart. Visit the exhibition alone, with your family or with your school class and be inspired!

The exhibition website offers much more, including: interesting facts about groundbreaking inventions, information about study and research opportunities in Germany, games, videos and teaching materials for German teachers.

School classes are welcome to sign up for the tour here.

Registered school classes may apply for a stipend up to $250 to cover their transportation costs.

The exhibition is open for registered school classes from 10:00 am-6:30pm and for the general public between 1:00pm-6:30pm.

There are no guided tours on October 3 (Day of German Unity) and on October 8 (Columbus Day).
