Svenja Steve, the wife of an ambitious investment banker, gets entangled in an affair with her husband’s boss. To facilitate the affair, Oliver Steve is cleared out of the way and “promoted” to a position in Jakarta. Passion in the midst of the world of power and money precipitates a crisis.
Christoph Hochhäusler was born in Munich in 1972, studied architecture at the TU Berlin from 1993 to 1995 and film direction at the University of Television and Film in Munich (HFF) from 1996 to 2004. He got his start in film doing an array of jobs such as storyboard artist, sound editor and assistant director. He followed up “Milchwald”, his final film project at the HFF, with his second feature film “I Am Guilty”. Hochhäusler has published numerous scholarly articles on film and is founder and co-editor of the film journal Revolver.
