INVITATION to our Zoom-Conversation with actor Doğuhan Kabadayi
Conversation | Do the 17 sustainable development goals of the UN concern me?
-
Online Online | Zoom event
- Language English
- Price Admission free
Last spring, young actor Doğuhan Kabadayi personally came to see us at the Berlin & Beyond film festival in San Francisco to pick up the Youth 4 German Cinema trophy for the film "Wet Dog". Now, back in Germany, he gives us an hour of his time to chat with us about the Sustainable Development Goals.
For we are curious: What does a young German-Turkish actor think about this issue whose profession seemingly has nothing to do with the SDGs? Does he feel a bit lost with all of it, like many other young people? Or does he feel encouraged, like many young activists in Germany are? What can he share from his own life or the lives of the characters he has embodied, so that we can better understand what young Germans think about the SDGs?
This conversation aims to bring us closer to a subject that we’re often overwhelmed by. Through speaking with a young person from the other side of the globe we’re aiming to open ourselves up to new perspectives, while simultaneously showing that we’re all in this together.
This conversation will be mostly held in English. Questions are encouraged and can be posted in the chat. While we highly recommend the film „Wet Dog“ by Damir Lukačević, starring Doğuhan Kabadayi, for adolescents 15 years and older, you don’t need to have seen the film to participate in this event.

For teachers: As a bonus, gain access to the new Sustainability Lab, our virtual learning platform, which you can book for free here to learn more about the 17 SDGs!
