Program Assistant at Goethe Pop Up Kansas City

  • Coordination, organization, and execution of cultural programs in close collaboration with the Managing Director
  • Communication and negotiation with partner organizations and cultural institutions in the USA and Germany
  • Composition and production of text for website and print (in German and English)
  • Organizational and logistical support for events (virtual and in person)
  • Visitor services at the Goethe Pop Up during opening hours
  • Communication with partners and services, including scheduling, monitoring, processing payments

  • Managing of the Goethe Pop Up Kansas City in close cooperation with the Regional Institute in Washington D.C.
  • Coordination, organization and execution of cultural programs
  • Monitoring of all projects including project oversight  
  • Project planning and coordination, including travel and hotel booking, catering, event planning, purchase and production of PR material
  • Communication and negotiation with partner organizations and cultural institutions in the USA and Germany
  • Hospitality management for artists and guests
  • Composition and production of texts for print and webpage
  • Monitoring the Goethe Pop Up’s social media platforms

Language Course Officer - Regional Coordination Center for Online Courses

  • Full time position (100%) = 40 hours/week
  • Start date June 21, 2021, or earlier
  • Contract through January 31, 2023, opportunity for renewal

GRÜNES DIPLOM ― Teach German at the Goethe-Institut

The Goethe-Institut USA is looking for motivated candidates who are interested in becoming certified as an instructor of German as a foreign language (DaF – Deutsch als Fremdsprache). The Goethe-Institut is offering a continuing education program for this certification. The Grünes Diplom is the worldwide standardized qualification for German instructors at Goethe-Institut locations abroad. For candidates who are not in the vicinity of a Goethe-Institut, we offer training to become an online tutor.
