Closing Reception
This closing party presents a final opportunity to view the exhibition
Brilliant Dilletantes (Geniale Dilletanten): Subculture in Germany in the 1980s. Come for a beer or glass of wine and a chance to visit and discuss with other culture and music lovers this multimedia exhibition which reflects the artistic scene in West and East Germany during the mid-1980’s. Members of local punk bands that performed at the
opening party and at
DuPunk Underground have been invited to join us!
During this era of upheaval, people in all the arts experimented with new ways of expression. A selection of bands from different cities and regions of Germany is featured alongside a collection of videos, photos, posters, audio samples, texts and objects that provide an overview of the subculture in the 1980’s.
