Ordinarily, the subject of married couples from different cultural and religious backgrounds is only depicted when there is some dramatic crisis afoot. Anna Hepp portrays quite the opposite in this documentary. Her “Turkish-German family portrait” focuses on the architect Jens Ulrich Möller and his wife Özen Simsir. Were it not for their dual heritage, both families would lead completely normal middle-class lives. However, their differences do not lead to conflicts; rather it enriches both their lives.
