Who: Media artist of the younger and middle generation from Germany

Together with the WRO Art Centre, the Goethe-Institut Krakow awards a media artist of the younger and middle generation from Germany a one to two month residency fellowship on Wrocław/Breslau.

The WRO Art Centre stands for innovative approaches at the interface of contemporary art and new media, and places emphasis on a broad-based educational and communication programmes. The residency artist will be able to work in the modern and well-equipped premises of WRO and receive the support of its team in developing his or her own projects. As part of a workshop and a presentation, which are integral to the residency, fellows will be expected to communicate the results of their work to the interested public. The residency programme has existed since 2012 and its tenure takes place annually in autumn.

Previous fellows include Niklas Roy (2012), Carolin Liebl and Nikolas Schmid-Pfähler (2013), and Sebastian Schmieg (2014).
