Pazin: Residency Programme at the Pazin Hiža od besid House of Literature

Together with the Pazin House of Literature and with the support of the region of Istria and the city of Pazin, the Goethe-Institut Croatia annually issues a call for a residency programme for writers and literary translators from Germany.

The one-month stay in Pazin/Istria is intended to provide residency participants with suitable conditions for literary work, becoming acquainted with the Croatian literary scene and cultural life of Istria and presenting their work before the Istrian public. The residency is part of the international programme of the Pazin House of Literature. Like guests from other countries, the German participants have the opportunity to work on their projects and it is expected that they will present their work to the local public in readings in Istrian cities. In addition, the residency fellows will contribute a text on their impressions of the stay to the homepage of the House of Literature.They will also encapsulate these impressions in a hand-written summary. Support and organization of events will be undertaken by the Pazin City Library.
