As biodiversity faces a major threat, seed banks have become a symbol of preservation. While they protect plant diversity, seed banks are a static solution in a constantly changing world. From my experience with a small native seed bank, I want to challenge this approach by showing the deep connection between seeds and their environment. Seeds are not just dormant—they hold knowledge, adapting to soil, water, air, and human interaction. When removed from nature's cycle, they risk losing this knowledge, especially in times of rapid environmental change. "Life Doesn’t Grow in Banks" emphasizes the need for preservation through active, living landscapes.
