What is JuniorUni?
The German Digital JuniorUni is a free online learning platform for young people. It empowers students to find answers to the most exciting questions from the fields of robotics, space, energy, sustainability, nature, and technology—all while learning the German language.What is a Science-Slam?
A Science Slam is a tournament for scientific / technical topics that are presented in a fun and interactive manner within the stipulated time. Apart from the scientific content, the entertainment value and presentation´s quality remains in focus. Very important: People are allowed to laugh; it should be fun for both the participants and the audience.Suggested Topics: Robotics, Space Travel, Energy, Natural Sciences, AI, Sustainability, ...
Who can participate?
This competition is aimed at German learners in grades 9-11 from our partner schools. Students can participate individually or as a group of up to 3 people. Only one team can be registered per school.HOW CAN YOU REGISTER?
Round 1: Interested students can register until 02.05.2024 via their German teacher. Tell us your topic and why it is relevant. Based on your answers, selected participants will be invited to the next round.Round 2: If your topic is convincing, you will be invited to a personal online interview on Zoom, during which you will be given 2 minutes to show your presentation skills in front of the jury. This is expected to take place in mid-May. Based on the jury's decision, the shortlisted candidates will be invited to the final round.
Round 3: The invited candidates will present their Science Slam live at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi on 18.07.2024 in front of the jury.
