FutureFantastic is a first-of-its-kind AI and Arts Festival in India, highlighting the power that collaborative creative production has in amplifying a global response to our shared climate emergency. The festival showcases a heady mix of AI-enabled artworks and performances. Audiences are also invited to participate in panels and workshops led by experts in tech, art and sustainability to bring to the fore a multidimensional perspective to the conversation. All of this with the belief that as engaged global citizens, we can together create a radical, open, and optimistic future.

We are pleased about the long-standing collaboration with JAAGA, which first brought BeFantastic and now FutureFantastic to life.

Cyberräuber-profile Cyberräuber The Merge: Embodied Al Bangalore is a performance devised by Berlin based collective CyberräuberMarcel Karnapke and Björn Lengers formed Cyberräuber in 2016. Their works, which are shown at numerous municipal and state theatres in German-speaking countries or at renowned festivals, combine digital media and performing arts, with the help of virtual reality or so-called artificial intelligence for example.

Merging human performers with the power of real-time text created by a machine, this performative piece explores the city of Bangalore, its neighbourhoods, people, peculiarities and dark corners. The endless stream of consciousness of an artificial neural network is confronted with our very human condition — thoughtful and confused, touching and outrageous, all at once! For a never stopping 12 hours, four human performers will interpret, speak and play texts created in that very moment by a large language model, followed by a camera through the streets of Bangalore and streamed live to the festival centre and various locations around the country and the world.

Artists: CyberRauber
Performers: Vibhinna Ramdev (India), Suhasini Seelin (India), Deepak Kurki Shivaswamy (India) and Sachin Sreenath (India)
