"Travelling Plants" is a collaborative project by Goethe-Institut, the French Institute of Pondicherry, and Alliance Française of Madras. It explores plant migration and its human impact, showcasedJune 14-29, 2024 at Alliance Française of Madras. 

The workshop is facilitated by a multidisciplinary artist namedRashmimalafrom the 'Travelling Plants' project. Herpractice delves into the intersection of ecology and art, weaving together museum collections, archival documents, academic scholarship, field data, and botanical art.

The workshop activities includes:
  • Fundamental techniques of botanical drawing
  • Developing observation skills to capture the intricacy of plants
  • Tips for creating realistic and beautiful botanical illustrations
No prior experience is necessary. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner, this workshop is perfect for anyone with a love for botanical art.
