Artists Alif and Ulrike Almut Sandig, known for their poetry and music, come together yet again for a collaborative concert to celebrate 50 years of the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai.

ALIF brings to you a masterful blend of Urdu-Kashmiri poetry with distinctive genre-defying contemporary music, recounted by poet, singer and songwriter Mohammad Muneem. Based between Mumbai and Pune, Alif has been awarded the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award and IRRA award, and their work has also been featured in films. Ulrike Almut Sandig authors stories, poems, radio pieces and collaborative language performances with other musicians and composers. Based in Berlin, she has received a number of awards, including the Leonce-and-Lena Prize for her widely anthologized poems. This concert promises an unforgettable experience through poetry written by Mohammad Muneem and Ulrike, which will be performed as musical compositions created by Alif.
