Further Research

The project “Intersections & Interventions: Barwe & Klee” is not only about creating an exhibition but also setting out for an extensive research on Prabhakar Barwe, Paul Klee, their ideas and practices as well as global modernisms in general. Here you can find further research topics and media, such as texts written by scholars and students. If you are interested in contributing to this section, please get in touch!

Students' articles in the framework of the project

We are pleased to present two insightful student articles as part of the project Intersections & Interventions | Barwe & Klee. These texts explore compelling dialogues between the works of Prabhakar Barwe and Paul Klee, revealing new perspectives on their artistic intersections.
The first article, “Between Prabhakar Barwe and Paul Klee: Yantra as a Nexus” by Li Ziyi (2025), investigates the symbolic and conceptual connections between Barwe’s and Klee’s use of the yantra motif as a point of convergence.

The second, “The Universal and the Located: Barwe’s Untitled 3 as a Meditation on Time” by Tara Brahme (2025), offers a thoughtful reflection on the temporal dimensions in Barwe’s Untitled 3, bridging universal themes with localized experience.
We invite you to dive into these rich analyses that deepen our understanding of the intricate relationship between two remarkable artists.
