Professional development in Germany
Expand your skills as a German as a foreign language teacher and benefit from exchanges with colleagues from all over the world. We offer a wide range of face-to-face and blended learning courses at Goethe-Instituts in Germany.
About the training
The training courses take place at the Goethe-Institutes in Berlin, Bremen, Dresden, Munich and Schwäbisch-Hall. In-person and blended learning formats are offered on various topics, including:
- Deepening knowledge of German, culture and society
- Methodology/didactics and planning German lessons
- Use of digital media
- Qualification for early foreign language learning
Scholarships
The Goethe-Institut offers scholarships for professional development courses in Germany.
Prerequisites
- You are a teacher of German as a foreign language (e.g. at a PASCH school), teach a subject in German, or train or provide further training for German teachers.
- You have the necessary German language skills for the type of professional development course or German language course for teachers that you are interested in.
- You are ready to share the knowledge you have gained in the professional development program or German language course for teachers with your colleagues in your home country.
- You are ready to participate fully in the entire training program, including the cultural activities.
- You can confirm that you would be available for all of the training sessions you listed.
- You have a solid understanding of how to use a PC or other suitable devices (e.g., laptop, tablet) and have a reliable and fast Internet connection, either at home or at work.
- You are ready to participate fully in the specified online sessions.
