Just Wanna Live Some
by Perera Elsewhere
Presented by Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Pune in collaboration with antiSocial Pune
Just Wanna Live Some is a live audio-visual set in Pune, presented as part of Perera Elsewhere’s South Asia tour.
Multi-award-winning experimental pop auteur Sasha Perera, aka Perera Elsewhere, is a producer, musician, songwriter, and DJ acclaimed by Pitchfork, NPR, BBC, FADER, Vogue, and KCRW. Her genre-defying practice—blending voice, electronics, trumpet, bass, and immersive sound design—has often been described as “Doom-Folk.”
With three albums released on the Los Angeles–based label Friends of Friends, her music has evolved into a distinctive hybrid, drawing comparisons to Mica Levi, Dean Blunt, Jon Hassell, and Massive Attack. Shaped by journeys from London’s club culture to Berlin’s experimental underground, her work remains fluid, rooted, and constantly transforming.
Perera Elsewhere has performed at venues and festivals such as Berghain, the Guggenheim, Hamburg Philharmonic, Sónar Festival, and Boiler Room, and her music has featured in Queen Sugar, Loro, and Apple’s M2 chip campaign. An award-winning multi-hyphenate, she also composes for film, theatre, and installations, and shares her practice globally through workshops and mentoring.
Entry: Free entry with a cover charge (reimbursable against food and beverages)
Registration: Mandatory
Age Restriction: 21+ only
