Following the release of Kadahin Milandaasin, Tarun Balani presents a vinyl listening session exploring the album’s roots in sound, story, and Sindhi heritage.

Join us for a special vinyl listening session of Kadahin Milandaasin, the critically acclaimed album by drummer-composer Tarun Balani. Described by The Hindu as “a sonic love letter to Sindh,” this deeply personal work has been featured on NPR’s Best Jazz Albums and Bandcamp’s Best of Jazz.

Through powerful sonic storytelling, the album reflects on themes of ancestral memory, migration, and personal identity, drawing inspiration from the life and legacy of Balani’s late grandfather, K.S. Balani—a celebrated postmodern Sindhi writer and painter.

The session features a vinyl playback of the album, followed by a conversation with Tarun Balani and Jivraj Singh, offering rare insight into the stories, sounds, and cultural heritage that shaped the music.

The programme is open to all on a first come first served basis till seats are full.
