Director: Jeff Bieber, Chana Gazit, Andreas Fauser (Deutsche Fassung)

The documentary portrays the influential philosopher and thinker Hannah Arendt, whose life and work were deeply intertwined with the upheavals of the 20th century. The film combines personal letters and essays - narrated by Nina Hoss - with archival footage, presenting Arendt as a Jew, an activist, and a keen observer of her time. At its core is her effort to understand the horrors of National Socialism and the Holocaust, as well as the enduring relevance of her analyses for contemporary discussions of politics, power, and morality.
