Percussionist, composer, public artist and educator Maria Finkelmeier finds music, narrative, and collaboration in unexpected places and creates large-scale multimedia events in public spaces. Her Studio 170 multimedia project, created in collaboartion with artists Sofie Hodara, U-Meleni Mhlaba-Adebo und Martha Rettig, explores and exploits day to day learned sexist behavior though the guise of A.I., asking “if a robot can learn to be sexist, can a human unlearn?”
