When twenty-something Danny (Trepte) left his hometown in the middle of nowhere and moved to Berlin to study business, he never thought of looking back. Though he enjoys the excitement, freedom and Independence of the big city, Danny returns to his hometown in the Bavarian hinterlands following his father’s death.

Much to his surprise, once he is reunited with his childhood friends , Kirsten (Kiefer), Rob (Mojen) and Fresi (Götz), and the eternal couple of Tom (Münchow) and Mischa (Haase), Danny slowly rediscovers his hometown as a summery paradise. When Danny's feelings for his first love Susu (Rosendahl) are rekindled, everything seems to be as it once was. But in order to find his purpose in life, Danny has to finally face the part of his past that made him leave home in the first place.

Writer Director Starte’s debut feature is an atmospherically dense character driven search for the answer to a question that spans generations: “When exactly does the ‘future’ everyone talks about actually going to begin?
